He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Sexton Woodward and Clarence Eugene Sexton; and his siblings, Nicholas Sexton, Michael Sexton and Jean Sexton Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Roberts Sexton; his grandchildren, Alex Rainwater (Magan), Nicholas Rainwater, Patrick Allen, Sophia Allen, Hanna Smith (Eric), Dakode Walker (Nick), Cayla Couch (James), Landen Origer, Cameron Hammond, Colten Hammond, Chloe Hammond, Jakob Sexton, Summer Sexton and Isabella Sexton; and his siblings, Merrie Beth Lucas (Larry) and Houston Milner (Wendy). He is also survived by four children, two nieces and one brother.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Richard's honor to the American Cancer Society.
