He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Goodwin Sr. and Vera Mae Broxton Goodwin; his siblings, Sidney Charles Goodwin (Mickey) and Betty Sue Smith; his daughter Rose Marie Davis (Harvey Sr.); and his great grandchild Jacob David Gurganus.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Jean Goodwin; his children, Julie Gurganus (David), Christina White (Freddie), Richard "Pedro" Goodwin III (Libby), Chris Goodwin (Rhonda) and Shane Goodwin (Tammy); his siblings, Mary Majka (Jim), Roger Goodwin (Bessy), Lee Goodwin (Chingfin), Jerry Goodwin and Steve Goodwin; and his brother-in-law Edward Hill. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
