She was predeceased by: her son Travis Nolind; and her father William Bowen Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Shannon Ellison (Josh), Jesse Nolind and Elexea Nix; her mother Sharon Bowen; and her siblings, William Bowen III (Tonya), Sonya Cunningham (Richard), Sharon Clem (Jerry) and Pam Hobbs (Scott). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Wanting to bring awareness to the people who have loved ones currently suffering mental illness, the family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Donita's memory to the non-profit organization, Mental Health Association of Central Florida.
