With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mirta Abu-Gharbiya (Panama City, Florida), born in Havana, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 14, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicolás Sosa and Esther Sosa; her husband Muhammad Abu-Gharbiya; and her siblings, Elia Gonzalez, Nicolás Sosa, Benjamín Sosa, Aleida Gomez and Elda Quintana.
She is survived by: her daughters, Samira Baker and Gisselle Barnhart; her son-in-law Alan Barnhart; and her grandchildren, Chris Lyons and Matthew Miranda. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and a whole host of other family and friends.
