She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Creel and Mary Pybus Creel; her husband Lee V. "Ron" Hopper; and her siblings, Harold Creel, Wilma Lassiter and Bertie Messer.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Harrison Hopper (Sandy) and Cathy Hopper Scott (Don); her sister Sue Diehl; her grandchildren, Andrew Scott, Amber Hopper and Austin Hopper (Kirbie); and her great grandchild Gage. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Springfield Baptist Church or to Covenant Hospice in memory of Mary Ellen Creel Hopper.
