It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary E O'Connell of Panama City, Florida, who passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hailey and Emma Hailey; her former husband Joseph M. Freeman Sr.; her husband Samuel E. O'Connell; her siblings, Bulah Furr, Lois Brown, Sally Gibson and Johnny Hailey Jr.; and her son Joseph M. Freeman Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Sue Downard of Panama City, FL., Donald W. Freeman (Kim) and Richard Lee Freeman (Lisa); and her stepchildren, Terrence D. O'Connell (Cindy) of Ohio, Bonnie Lamb of Ohio and Judy Buckley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or The American Kidney Fund.
