It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Linda Keels of Panama City, Florida, born in Port Saint Joe, Florida, who passed away on February 11, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford "Windy" Tharpe and Ruth Tharpe; and her siblings, Betty Rich and Clifford "Bubba" Tharpe, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Harold Keels of Panama City, FL; her children, Hal Keels (Lisa) of Port St, Clay Keels of Panama City, FL and Shelley Mixon (Chris) of Hoschton, GA; her brother Scott Darst of West Dunde, IL; her grandchildren, Karissa Medina (Moses), Bailey Mixon (Tara), Hal-Leigh Gaskin (Tad), Mary Riley Mixon, Maxwell Mixon, Gavin Mixon and Zayed Afifi-Keels; and her great grandchildren, Gage Medina, Jacob Medina, Rip Gaskin, Hal Banks Gaskin and Charlie Rose Mixon.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Southerland Family Funeral Homes and Crematory (100 E 19th St, Panama City, FL 32405). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Holly Hill Cemetery (1665 Madison St, Port St Joe, FL 32456).
