He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Whitaker and Willie Mae Whitaker; and his brother Neal Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Lorine Jay Whitaker; his daughters, Angela Whitaker-Bailey and Sabrena Whitaker-Goodwin; his grandsons, Josh Bailey, Jason Bailey and Timothy Goodwin; and his siblings, Sarah Whitaker Paulk, Linda Whitaker Yarbrough, Carol Whitaker Yarbrough, Martha Whitaker Meyers and Richard Whitaker. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
