She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian M. Robbins and Rev. Troy Robbins of Greensboro. She is survived by: her children, Rod Ashley (Debra) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Wayne Ashley (Debra) of Panama City, Florida and Robin Ayres (Ray) of Snellville, Georgia.; her grandchildren, Chris Ashley (Lisa), Adam Ashley (Giselle), Ashley Ayres, Matt Ashley, Brett Ayres (Laura), Ryan Ashley (Brittany) and Chelsey Harris (Drew); her great grandchildren, Andrea, Aiden, Addison, Amelia, Payton, Noah, Madison, Layla, Victoria, Kennedy, Ace and Keith; her brother Keith Robbins (Georgia) of Tybee Island; her husband Joe C. McElvey; her stepdaughters, Teresa McElvey and Sandra McElvey; and also Alton Powell Ashley.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Jean's memory to City Church at Northside.
