Debra Darlene Farrell Obituary
Debra Darlene Sims Farrell, 58, of Southport, gained her wings on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
Debra was born on April 20, 1965 in Panama City. She loved fishing and exploring the lakes, creeks and ponds around the Sandhills. Debra worked hard all her life as a commercial fisherman, oyster shucker, waitress and restaurant manager. She also enjoyed her trips to Biloxi and was a Crimson Tide fan to the end. Roll Tide, ya'll.
Debra is preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Creamer; father, George Harold Sims; stepfather, Ronnie Creamer; daughter, Savanna Lee Dykes; special friend, Juanita Miller; and brother-in-law, Robert Sierra.
Left to treasure her memory is her husband of 20 years, Nick Farrell; daughter, Pamela Cox (William); grandchildren, Matthew Cox (Courtney), Katie Calbera (Justin) and Layla Lee Vanderschaff; great-grandchildren, William Waylon Cox and Isabella Cox; sisters, Janice Goodwin, Mellissa Sanders (William) and Kathy Polous (DeWight); special friends, H.E. Ellis, Paula Ellis Shirley, Michelle Diehl and many others. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Princess.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Southport Holiness Church, with Brother Donovan Cox officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
