He was predeceased by: his siblings, Yvonne Kapoi, Phyllis Newberry, Pam Young, Dale Davis, Sam Kapoi, Jr. and Jerome Kapoi; his parents, Irene Kapoi and Sam Kapoi, Sr.; his parents-in-law, Cyril Heiderscheit and Glenna Heiderscheit; his siblings-in-law, Gina Gallimore and Barry Heiderscheit; and his nephews, R. J. Chang and Reggie Chang.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Kapoi; his children, Leicee (Shane), Shane (Kelley), Nic (Krystal) and Lance (Lynzy); his grandchildren, Ian, Kai, Lucy, Alona, Wade, Zein, Leiana, Breanna, Bethany, Kaitlyn and Noah; and his siblings, Charles (Cathy), Jeff (Cindy), Kim (Julie), Kelly (Mandy), Teddy, Robert, Patty, Sandee (Frank), Marla, Mary (Jim), Amy and Marie.
