She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Violet "Missey" Connelly and Michelle "Shellie" Brooks; her grandchildren, Austin Johnson (Kacey), Trace Brooks and Robbie Jett; her sisters, Juanita Ivey and Rose Oatsvall; her close friend Brenda McDowell; and her friends, Karen Peterson and Jeannie Ray.
