It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vermell Peterson of Panama City Beach, Florida, who passed away on November 2, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George Peterson; her parents, Aner Lee Rushing and Hubert Rushing; and her sister Jean Rushing. She is survived by: her children, Sheila Pittman (Benny Pittman Sr.), Larry Peterson (Sandy) and Greg Peterson (Judy); her grandchildren, Marilyn Brown (Joe), Shawn Pittman (Heather), Scott Pittman (Silvia), Clinton Peterson, Kyle Peterson, Benny Pittman Jr. (Kelsey) and Bryan Pittman; her great grandchildren, Zach Brown, Peyton Brown, Paige Brown, Carter Pittman, Catalina Pittman, Alex Pittman, Fischer Pittman and Ryleigh Pittman; her brother Curtis Rushing; and her nieces and nephews, Sonia Bowers, Jeff Rushing, Curt Rushing and Elizabeth Deaton.
