He was predeceased by: his parents, David Pate and Ann Pate; and his wife Patricia Horne Pate. He is survived by: his children, David M. Pate and Justice Pate; his stepdaughter Lisa Sinnott; and his brothers, John Pate and Don Pate. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
