He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Spurlin and Margaret Spurlin; and his brothers-in-law, George Dimon and Leo Moon. He is survived by: his wife Pat Hardin-Spurlin; his children, Roy L Spurlin, Jr., Tammy Berry (Stephen), Debra Grosso (Vinny), Jim Hardin, Jr. (Becca) and Jeff Hardin (Kim); his daughter-in-law Shannon Sheperd Spurlin; his grandchildren, Jennifer Blaisure (Chris), J. Scott Hardin, Jr., Maclain Hardin, Mason Hardin, Sam Hardin, Lilly Berry, Joshua Spurlin, Justin Long and Jeremy Spurlin; his great grandchild Bridget Blaisure; and his sisters, Carolyn Dimon, BJ Moon and Betty Waites (Tom).
