He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Algie Davis and Effie Davis; his former wife Mary Smith Davis; his wife Iris Fox Davis; and his sons, Richard Henderson, Jr. (Mattie), David Davis (Jo Ann) and John Davis. He was also cherished by five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
