He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ackerman and Alma Kastrow; and his siblings, Roger Ackerman, Marvin Ackerman and Joyce Sperle.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah J. Ackerman; his daughters, Alecia Ackerman Grimm (Jason) and Christina Busch (Matt); his grandchildren, Madison Kish (Nik), Austin Grimm, Myron Oskar Grimm, Stella Grimm, Parker Grimm, Carson Grimm, Scarlett Grimm, Isabel Grimm, Sterling Busch and Codi Busch; his great grandchild Hailey Kish; and his brother Eugene Ackerman.
