He was predeceased by: his parents, Lumir Hamsa and Gertrude Hamsa; his siblings, Kathy Hamsa, Cindy Hamsa and Steve Hamsa; and his mother-in-law Betty Gutheil (Raygor).
He is survived by: his wife Marcy Hamsa; his children, Heather Rickert (Brent) and Erik Hamsa (Rachel); and his grandchildren, John Ryan (Rickert), Gavin Hamsa, Liam Hamsa and Rowan Hamsa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
