He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward Railey, Sr. and Ella Jane Pitts; his grandparents, Leonard Franklin Pitts, Emma Elizabeth Robinson, Joseph Elexander Railey and Rebecca Yawn; his siblings, Emme Gene Railey, Mary Lou Franks, Eunice Irene Railey, Carolyn Railey, Willie Railey, Shirlin Railey (Buck), Anna Mae Vinson and Ella Elizabeth Vinson; and his pet Belle.
He is survived by: his siblings, Evelyn Saunier and Jewell Heller; his grandchildren, Holly Cornelius (Chris), Logan Cornelius (Janell), Jordan Cornelius, Luke Cornelius, Jenna Cornelius, Zac Larsen (Rachael), Josh Larsen (Cindy), Joseph Edward Railey IV (Mikki), Matthew Railey (Ashley), Gabriel Railey (Mel), Jessica Railey, Noah Persinger, Nicholas Persinger, Ben Persinger, Abigail Williams, Lily Railey and Jake Hamilton; and his great grandchildren, Ethan Burke, Aubrey Burke, Ella Burke, Parley Burke, Brigham Burke, Ruth Larsen, Ruby Larsen, Milo Railey and Seth Railey.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lynn Haven Cemetery.
