He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Russell and Irby Russell; his siblings, Dan, Kyle Russell and Tommie Dee Copeland; and his cousin Jerry Ray Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Jeana; his children, Shawn Holmes (Jamie), Elizabeth Smith (Wes) and Daniel Russell; his grandchildren, Owen Smith and Haley Holmes; his great grandchild Charlie Sparkman; his siblings-in-law, Louise Russell, Patricia Russell, Marisa Nordan (Charles), Randy Galpin and Michael Galpin (Crystal); and his cousins, Rhonda Davis and Frankie Brown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Southerland Family Funeral Homes and Crematory (100 E 19th St, Panama City, FL 32405). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Emerald Coast Fellowship Church Building Fund in memory of Johnnie.
