He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Frank Thames and Mavis Lucille Miller; his former wife Stephanie Thames; and his brother Billy Joe Meyers. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Hoskins; his stepchildren, Samuel Gillespie, Jacqueline Gillespie and Britt Gillespie of Dallas, Texas; his brothers, Martie Meyers (Paula), Bobby Joe Meyers, John Earl Meyers and Marcus W. Meyers; his niece Hillary Smith (Brandon); his nephew Jason Sasser; and his brother-in-law Lamar Sasser.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory (4550 Boll Weevil Cir, Enterprise, AL 36330). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
