He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Wilson Buchanan; and his parents, Maude Coming and Oscar Allen Sr. Coming. He is survived by: his children, Reba Buchanan Wilkerson (Bo), James T. Buchanan Jr. and Billy Ray Buchanan; his grandchildren, Lisa Williams Felix, James Bradford Williams (Jamie), Kim Buchanan Barr and Amy Buchanan Thomas; his great grandchildren, Sydney Felix, Hannah Felix, Amanda Thomas, Sam Thomas, Ella Thomas, Riley Thomas and Jake Williams; his brother Buck Buchanan; and his pet Cricket. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
