He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Frank McCranie and Mildred O; his son Virgil F. McCranie, II; and his grandson Virgil F. McCranie, III. He is survived by: his son Sam McCranie; his brother James McCranie (Evelyn); his daughter-in-law Misty McCranie; his grandchildren, Darian, Elysium, Blaine, Dallas and Dolan; his nephew Billy McCranie (Natalie); his niece Shannon Rowland (Morgan); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Austin (Christa), Kaitlyn (Conner), Jonathan, Trey, Bradley, Dylan and Kay.
