He was predeceased by: his father Edward Everett Ellis; and his stepmother Wanda Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Delene Ellis; his children, Justin Ellis (Jennifer) and Jonah Ellis (Ashley); his stepchildren, Russ Churchwell (Jessi) and Brandi Wade (Adam); his grandchildren, Jacob Ellis, Emma Ellis, Chase Churchwell, Christian Churchwell, Presley Churchwell and Jacob Churchwell; his mother Lucy Pearl Curnette; his siblings, Diane McRoberts, Edwin Ellis and Edmond Ellis; his half-sister Sherri Oneal; and his parent-in-law Brannon Inman (Judy).
