He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Charles and Arling Julia Heacox Brandt; his significant other Judith "Judy" Brandt; his siblings, Mary "Sis" Summers, Nancy Ann Brandt, Herman Brandt Jr. and Richard "Dick" Brandt; his siblings-in-law, Sharon Brandt, Warren Summers and Johnny Franklin; his nephews, Ronnie Brandt, Brian Brandt and Brayden Brandt; and his close friend Eric Padgett.
He is survived by: his daughters, Catherine "Cathy" Ditto (Mark), Leigh Ann Brandt (Brenda) and Cheryl Joyner (Drexel); his siblings, Betty Franklin, David Brandt (Jan) and Dean Brandt (Bonnie); his sister-in-law Judy Brandt; his grandchildren, Candice Hunter (Colin), Michele Mulla, Robert Ditto (Amanda), Dallas Ditto, Madison Benedik (Stephen) and Zack Joyner; his great grandchildren, Cyrus Hunter, Charli Hunter and Baby Ditto; and his close friends, Susie Padgett and Gene Burch.
