She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Rivers and Gladys Anderson (Wilson); her former husband Billy Gunter; her husband Ralph Carter; her stepfather Charles Anderson; her son Bill; and her daughter-in-law Gail Gunter.
She is survived by: her children, Andi Gunter Patterson (Joe) and Charles W. Gunter (Donna); her sister Dolores Pare (Dan); and her grandchildren, Canita Peterson (Casey), Mini Watson (Jamie), Matt Patterson, Cher Martin (Sean), Jeremy Patterson (Summer), LeAnn Gunter Johns (Barry) and Morgan Burleson (Jared). She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
