It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Faye Smith of Panama City Beach, Florida, born in Statesboro, Georgia, who passed away on March 19, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mollie Ruth West and John Robert West; and her sister Linda Jung. She is survived by: her children, Derek Allen Groves (Shannon) and Debbie Lynn Groves-Caldwell (Chris); her sister Dory Duncan; her grandchildren, Austin Groves and Maddison Alleman; and her great grandchild Grove Alleman.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to 4Ocean conservation agency to ensure generations behind Brenda can enjoy and love a clean ocean as much as she did.
