Virgil Carl Homan Jr. Obituary
Mr. Virgil C. Homan Jr., age 73 of Panacea, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016. An Ohio native, Mr. Homan has lived in Wakulla County for the last forty five years. He was a retired truck driver with forty nine years in the industry. Mr. Homan was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending time at home with his family.
He also enjoyed music and being outside in his yard. He is survived by his wife of forty four years: Evelyn Homan; sons: Macon (Beverly) Metcalf of Panacea, Greg (Becky) Metcalf of Ohio, Brian (Krystal) Metcalf of Tallahassee, Vigil (Renee) Homan III and Randy (Carmen) Homan all of Ohio; daughters: Becky (Mark) Nocar of Panacea, Geraldine Metcalf of Sopchoppy, Gwen (Jim) Sego of Monticello, and Crystal (Chuckie) Richmond of Ohio; brothers: Charles Homan and Ronnie Homan, both of Ohio; sister: Marcie (Don) Head of Ohio; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Virgil and Norma Warner Homan Sr., and brothers: Robert Homan and David Homan. A celebration of his life will be held 12:00pm, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Panacea Full Gospel Assembly with Pastor BB Barwick officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
