He was predeceased by: his parents, Imogene Chatham and Hubert Chatham; his mother-in-law Pearl Sharlene Stygar Bohanan; and his grandchildren, Michael Jason James Jr., Bradley Michael Nichols and Carla Cmehil.
He is survived by: his wife Tina Chatham of Panacea; his daughters, Lisa Gaskin and Susie Gaskins of Panacea; his stepchildren, Jordon Nichols of Panacea and Christopher Nichols (Brooke) of Crawfordville; and his grandchildren, Lillian, Olivia, Noel, Joy and Joseph.
