It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Nelson Buttermore Sr. of Palmetto, Florida, born in Harlan, Kentucky, who passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Harry King and Nell Kathryn Buttermore; his siblings, Willard, Harry, Rodney, Dalton and Mary Jean Loving; and his nephews, Martin, Jan and Mike Buttermore.

He is survived by: his nephew Bruce Buttermore; his wife Sharon; his former wife Rosemary; his children, Laura Pitts (Joe) and Tom, Jr. (Lori); his sister Ruth Alice Pope (Daniel); and his nieces and nephews, Elaine Lucas, Kathryn Poole, Marybeth Carter, Dr. Daniel, Rev. John Pope, Fred, Terry Loving, Rodney, Robert and King Buttermore.
