He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Bernardo and Catherine Bernardo; and his brother Louis. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Burkland; his children, Louis Bernardo (Judie), Lisa Schwedes (Darren) and Toni Ann Callari (William); his grandchildren, Hope, Marissa Matteo (Nick), Gina Bernardo, DJ Schwedes, Paul Sokolowski (Kate) and Rachel Poole (Will); his great grandchildren, Summer, Nick and Charlotte; and his nieces, Barbara Ann (Nick) and Adrienne.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (505 26th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Boys & Girls Club of America, Central Florida.
