He was predeceased by: his parents, Kazimir Stojanowski and Magdalen Mary Stojanowski (Senczuk); his son Timothy Sterling; his wife Barbara (Braman); and his half-siblings, Wally Gural and Mary Long (Gural).
He is survived by: his girlfriend Paula Borrero of Palmetto, FL; his children, Mark Sterling (Sue) of Tawas City, Claudia King (Owen) of Tawas City and David Sterling (Annie) of Kingston, MI; and his grandchildren, Rachelle, Dylan, Aaron, Jasmine, Kerri, Kyle, Shawn, Jennifer, Joshua, Bianca, Zackary, Alexa and Cameron. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
