She is survived by: her sisters, Phyllis Bates (Edgar) and Lyla Healey (Harry); her daughters, Betsy Balmer (David) and Bonnie Gorman (Hugh); her grandchildren, Melissa Brown (James) and James Balmer; and her great grandchild Bruce Brown.
Later in life, she embroidered hundreds of faces on teddy bears made by women from her church to donate to various charities.
