He was predeceased by: his father Marion "Bud" Dean; and his father-in-law James E. Shirkman. He is survived by: his wife Beth Dean; his children, Kelly Dean and Stephen Dean; his siblings, Debra Cook, Karen Smith (Stan) and Donald Dean (Julie); his mother-in-law Marilyn Shirkman; his siblings-in-law, Joan Ogle (Chuck), Sandy Barnes (Joe), Nancy Shirkman and Jay Shirkman (Layla); and his pets, Willow and Niles.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (750 San Salvador Dr, Dunedin, FL 34698). Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation- Malignant Hematology Research to be designated for Acute Myeloid Leukemia Research in Ken's honor.
