He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Mitchell, and Lucy Mitchell, Sr. (Besse). He is survived by: his sons, John Lincoln, Bob, Tom and Jeff; his daughters-in-law, Debbie, Sharon, Joanie and Leila; his grandchildren, Jennifer Applewhite, Melissa Benefiel, Katharine Brite, Carolyn, Maxwell, Maya, Lucy, Addi and Cole Mitchell; and also, Easton and Eliana Benefiel.
