He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver John and Margaret Katherine Smith Fiala; and his brother James O. Fiala. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his sister-in-law Patricia Ryan McAndrew; his niece Carol Ann Sirokman (Brian); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Haley, Cole and Quinn; and his goddaughter Lucy Marie Harper.
