Botbyl of Palm Harbor, Florida, born in Staten Island, New York, who passed away on May 15, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Schultes and Helen Friberg Schultes. She is survived by: her husband Allan; her children, Jane Boyd (late Jack Boyd) of Tampa, Lori Scribner of Oldsmar, Laura Roop (Chip Roop) of Wilmington, Delaware and Garry Botbyl of Lajitas, Texas; her grandchildren, Courtney, Jamie, Charlotte, Danielle, Helen and Brian; her great grandchildren, Emily, Zaydin, Jackson and Lucas; and her sister Gayle Schultes of Largo, Florida.. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

“So so sorry to read of Joan's passing. Just read about Danielle's grandmothers service on facebook. I searched, hoping it wasn't Joan. What wonderful memories Joan leaves behind with her loved ones. She was such a loving, caring friend to all. She inspired me with her amazing counted cross stitching ways. I have a small framed santa she made for me as well as a Cubs bear that is out every summer. Prayers for Al and the family. She will live in our hearts always. Linda Dellinger, Tulsa”
