He was predeceased by: his parents, David Lamson and Georgia Lamson; his wife Virginia Lamson; and his brothers, Howard and David Lamson.

He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Schendel (Robert Schendel); his siblings, Lynn Lamson (Kathy Lamson), Kay Nelson (David Nelson), Mary Fern (Kenneth Fern) and Joanne Koch; his grandson Scott Schendel (Gia-Hue); and his great grandchildren, Abby and Claire Schendel.
