He was predeceased by: his parents, William Eckmann and Sophie Eckmann. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Janet Eckmann and William "Bill" Eckmann (Traci); his grandchild Kaitlen; his stepson Kelly Kipper; and his siblings, Mary (Richard Herring) and Donald (Ann Marie Eckmann).

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church.
