He was predeceased by: his brother Grady "Sonny" Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Higgins; his children, Scarlett Ann Higgins (Richard Marsh) and Elliott William Higgins (Joy); his grandchildren, Sierra Higgins, Ellie Lutz, Luke Marsh, Zannder Higgins and Bella Higgins; and his siblings, Patricia Palmer (Mike), Rita West (Mike) and Gregory Higgins. He is also survived by many extended family, church family & friends.
The military honors was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
