He was predeceased by: his parents, Maneeram Sookram and Sylvia Sookram (Ladoo); and his sisters, Indra Sookram and Natasha Sookram. He is survived by: his wife Monica Sookram; his daughter Kayleigh Sookram; his siblings, Michael Sookram (Renee), Andre Sookram (Victoria), Sita Power (Tim), Judy Stewart (Bill) and Shari Sookram (Jeff Kramer); and his nieces and nephews, Zack Stewart (Lauren), Dexter Power, Jose Power, Sara Stewart (Michael), Chenez Power and Khamoni Power.
