He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Frederick and Joan Gunberg. He is survived by: his wife Janis; his daughter Stacey Arnold (Tim); his grandchildren, Jacob and Arabella of Palm Coast; his daughter Christine Floyd; his grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb and Abigail of Arizona; and his siblings, Kathy Clark of Florida, Paul Gunberg of New Jersey, Sue Coward of Maryland and Joan Vencill of New Jersey. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and his adored pets.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Marine Corps League or Tunnel to Towers.
