He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe A Hunter and Clotee Hunter Legette. He is survived by: his wife Maria Carmen Hunter; his children, Robin Hunter Page (Augustus) of Miami, Pamela Stringer, Joe A Hunter II (West), Jan Hunter, Jesus Hunter of Palm Coast and Angela Hunter of Miami, Florida.; and his grandchildren, Zsharmia, DeMarco, Roshaw, Jill, Amber, Roosevelt, Gregorio, Cassandra, Ana and Evelyn. He is also survived by great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (4600 Belle Terre Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL 32164). A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery (5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754).
