He was predeceased by: his father Leopold Simons. He is survived by: his wife Concetta (Tita); his sibling Merle Harrington of Delaware; his children, Katherine Heddaeus (Mark) of Tallahassee, Elizabeth "Liz" Grafe (Ken) of Palm Coast, Jeannette Perry (Mike) of Juno Beach and Donald Simons of Hollywood, Florida.; his grandchildren, Jillian Heddaeus, Kenny Grafe (Amy), Lisamarie Kush (Brandon), William Viteri (Adriana) and Christopher Simons; and his great grandchildren, Hailey Grafe, Lucas Viteri and Camila Viteri.

His health was in decline and when he got Covid, he wasn't able to recover.
