God could not be everywhere and therefore he made Mothers." Our adored Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Aunt went home peacefully to her Heavenly Father surrounded by her loving family after dying in late October of natural causes at age 94 in Jupiter. She was proud of being a Florida native who was born in Pahokee in 1924. She moved to West Palm Beach at an early age to find work so she could help out her family during the tough times of the Great Depression. She graduated from Palm Beach High School in 1941 and married her husband Richard in 1945 after a blind date. She held many jobs, including work in a German POW camp during WWII. She considered her most important job to be a Mom raising four children and a nephew and excelled at that. She was also a Sunday School teacher and volunteered many hours at the March of Dimes and Crippled Children Society. After Richard retired, they spent many summers at their home on the Maine coast. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years and all her sisters and brothers. She is survived by her sons Richard L Adams Jr (Shirley), Charles C. Adams (Vicki) and daughters Nancy Ellery (Jack) and Donna Aycock (Bob), 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Private memorial services were held at Mangrove Bay in Jupiter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to TrustBridge Hospice.
