The passing of Nicholas Peter Augustus of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 19, 2025 at the age of 96. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Agosto and Josephine Calvi Agosto Verducci; his granddaughter Tiffany Augustus; his stepfather Paul Verducci; his siblings, George Agosto, Anthony, John (Joe Augustus) and Joyce Waters (Nancy Marino); and his close friend Millie Swarner.
He is survived by: his significant other Rose Ann Monti; his children, Anne van Geldern (Steve) of Rowayton, Carol Summers of Marietta, Nicholas, Jr. (Connie) of Stamford and Joseph; and his grandchildren, Emily Gorder, Abby Maguire, Traci Lewis, Kate Wood, Russ, Stephen Burnham, Nicholas III and Caroline Augustus. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lawrence Funeral Home (2119 Post Rd, Darien, CT 06820). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John R. C. Church (1986 Post Rd, Darien, CT 06820). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Spring Grove Cemetery (41 Hecker Ave, Darien, CT 06820).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities of Fairfield County (https://www.ccfairfield.org), or the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA) Caddie Scholarship Fund that provides need-based scholarships to caddies at local golf and country clubs.
