“A truly sad loss of a gentle man. We knew each other for many decades as fellow chairs at the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. He accomplished a great deal and was awarded rhe Gold Medal, its highest award, by the American Society of Radiation Oncology. I was fortunate to share dinner with him and his wife several times after we all moved to Florida. My sincere condolences to his wife, Marsha, and his children. Richard J Macchia, MD”
