He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Angelo Abate and Carla Bracco Abate (Dolores); his wife Dolores Maldonado; his daughter Carol Abate Bittner; his grandchildren, Benjamin (Sonia Bittner), April (John Jamason), Randy (Alicia Bittner) and Matthew (Cassie Bittner); his great grandchildren, Jamin, Gabriel, Liam, Andrew, Autumn, Elijah, Maxwell and Elizabeth; his siblings, Cesare and Itala; and his great grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah and Summer.
In lieu of flowers, any desired donations should be made to St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, SD or St Jude's Children Hospital in Memphis, TN.
