He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald J. Rives and Elaine French Rives. He is survived by: his wife Celeste Lioce; his brothers, William Rives of Bear Creek, NC and David Rives of El Paso, TX.; his stepdaughters, Kristina Parmelee of Jupiter, FL. and Karyn Cartlidge (Justin Cartlidge) of Denver, Colorado.; and his grandsons, Aiden Cartlidge and Keegan Cartlidge.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Historical Society of Palm Beach County or the American Cancer Society.
