He is survived by: his wife Nancy Peeples Carr; his children, Ernest Carr (Ernie), Diane Carr Jones of Atlanta and Corrin Carr; and his brothers-in-law, Lloyd Peeples of New Mexico and Michael Peeples.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a memorial contribution be made to Michael J. Fox.org in Ernie's memory to help fight Parkinson's.
